Former king Gyanendra Shah today expressed concern over the country’s prevailing situation. Talking to mediapersons at Tanahun’s Damauli-based Shiva Panchayan Temple, the former monarch said, “I am very much worried about the country’s existing situation. But, I am also elated due to people’s growing enthusiasm.”
Shah went on to say that he was glad for getting a chance to offer puja at the Shiva Temple in the district. He, however, declined to respond to the questions from mediapersons pertaining to politics.
Shiva Panchanyan Temple Conservation Committee chairman Devnidhi Pant had apprised Shah about the temple. Former minister Gurga Shrestha and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal, Tanahu, chairman Gaumaya among others had welcomed the former king with garlands and flowers.
APF personnel, RPPN activists and Shiva Sena had escorted Shah to the Shiva Panchayana Temple.
