With Devgn riding horses and Sanju Baba showing his bravura personality by driving powerful jeeps in their forthcoming Diwali blockbuster, Son Of Sardaar, how could the leading lady of the film Sonakshi be far behind.
Portraying a true Sardarni look, Sonakshi held her breath and balanced herself perfectly on the two wheels to perform some heart stopping adrenaline pumped stunts on a motor bike for this action comedy dhamaka.
Buzz is that the actress was a little apprehensive when she was told that her first entry scene would be on a bike and she also had to do some gallant antics on the mean machine. We hear that Sona decided to take the challenge head on with guidance from her action maestro and co-star Ajay Devgn.
A source close to the team said, "Sonakshi has never driven a bike before so she was quite anxious about riding and performing stunts on the bike so Ajay helped her to ride the bike. She practiced it several times and then when she performed the sequence for the final scene, she took the entire cast and crew by surprise as she did it with so much perfection."
Son Of Sardaar is produced by Ajay Devgn Films and YRV Infra & Media (P) Ltd Production and directed by Ashwni Dhir, and release on November 13, 2012.

Last month, Esha Deol was supposed to walk the ramp for a fashion show but changed her mind at the last moment. At the time the actor had clarified how the deal fell through. On Saturday night, Esha did walk the ramp and that too with her husband Bharat Takhtani on day four of the Aamby Valley
India Bridal Fashion Week at The Grand Hyatt, Santacruz. Surprisingly, none of the Deols were present to cheer the couple, who walked for the World Gold Council show. Their handcrafted gotta patti traditional Jaipuri outfits were designed by Anita Dongre. “As the concept was inspired by the seven sacred vows taken at a wedding, we were the perfect choice for it,” says Esha.
She’s no stranger to the runway but walking with her husband must have been special. “I have walked the ramp many times in the past, but walking with my husband is truly an amazing feeling. Whenever you walk the ramp alone, there is always the fear of tripping at the back of your mind. But when you have your man beside you, he would never ever let you fall,” she says. Even while walking on the ramp, the love that the newly married couple have for each other was very evident, when they paused and looked into each other’s eyes. She adds, “This was Bharat’s first ramp walk and he was very excited. He is always open to trying out something new.”

Ek Tha Tiger has almost ended its run and Salman Khan is back to the grind. With the euphoria around the film settling down, Salman would now be kick-starting a grueling month long schedule that would see him getting into hardcore action, Dabangg ishtyle!
"Ek Tha Tiger was more about car
chases, explosions and some hi-tech action. However, Dabangg 2 is more raw and rustic. Arbaaz Khan and his team have devised the kind of 'desi' action that Salman's fans like and that would require a lot of physical exertion for 'bhai'", informs our highly placed source from the film's unit.
It is a known fact that even though Abhinav Kashyap was the director of Dabangg, it was Arbaaz Khan who wanted action to have certain look and feel to it and got it all changed to suit the film's requirement. Now that he is driving the entire sequel as the director, he is totally in charge and has kept aside as good as 20-25 days just for filming the action sequences.
"Both brothers are on the same page here and Salman understands what exactly is Arbaaz looking for. He has learnt how to fight his illness now and is going all out to make Dabangg 2 action stand out. Since this would form the climax sequence of the film, it is set as quite volcanic. Expect a lot of hand-to-hand action with muscles and force involved. Also, expect 'bhai' to go shirtless as well, something that he couldn't afford to do in the action sequences of Ek Tha Tiger", the source continues.
When contacted, Arbaaz confirmed that shooting of Dabangg 2 climax sequence starts next week at Satara. Though he refrained from divulging further details around the designing of these sequences, he just sent back a text stating, "It would be crowd friendly for sure."
Well, one can be sure that Salman's 'dabangg' fans would be happy to hear that!

MUMBAI: Anurag Basu’s latest offering ‘Barfi!’ starring the trio of Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and South siren Ileana D’cruz – has been loved by cinegoers on it’s very first day.

When one of our most versatile actors Anupam Kher has a chance to meet one of his favouite actresses, he naturally doesn't let go of the opportunity. Hence when at the now-running Toronto Film Festival, Anupam Kher got to know that Susan Sarandon was attending, he naturally asked one of his friends from Hollywood for an introduction.
Says Anupam from Toronto, "I told her how much I enjoyed her performance in Thelma & Louise and Dead Man Walking. I also met Hugh Grant."
Strangely Susan Sarandon was ignorant of Indian cinema and Anupam's work. Anupam specially, was all over the Toronto Film Festival. He was not only part of Deepa Mehta's much talked-about Midnight's Children but also included in the core group of star cast members representing David Russell's Silver Linings Playbook alongside Robert De Niro, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Julia Stiles and Chris Tucker. Throughout the Festival, de Niro bonded liberally with Anupam. Anupam is also been featured on the cover of Variety.
However, Anupam has taken an extremely pragmatic view of Bollywood's status vis-a-vis Hollywood and international cinema. "Why should Hollywood know our work? Why should they know us? We run after them. Not the other way around. We give too much importance to global recognition. I've worked with the topmost names from American cinema-Woody Allen, Ang Lee, Robert de Niro. But I've never sought their recognition or approval. For me, Midnight's Children is as important as Silver Lining Playbook. And my work back home is equally important.

If you are planning a horror-filled weekend with Raaz 3, chances are you will be disappointed as the so called ‘horror’ movie is not so thrilling. Of course, there are supernatural elements and at times you may get the chills, but most of the scenes and dialogues in the movie will make you laugh rather than be horror-stricken.
Raaz 3 is the story of a movie star Shanaya Shekhar (Bipasha Basu) who in her desire to remain in stardom forever seeks help of black magic with an evil spirit Tara (Manish Choudhary). Shanaya, to make her fame eternal, uses her lover Aaditya (Emraan Hashmi) to destroy her potential enemy, emerging star Sanjana (Esha Gupta). Shanaya’s initial desire of just giving pain to Sanjana turns to murderous motive. In this battle of good and evil, Aaditya has to choose one. To know the raaz of this movie, you have to go to the theatres.
The suspense and thriller aspects of the movie are weak. As you start watching the movie, it will not be very difficult for you to guess what happens the next. And even in the scenes that are supposed to frighten the audience, you will not help laughing. For instance, the evil spirit Tara made of different kinds of insects is disgusting to watch, when the hand of evil spirit comes out of TV screen to frighten Sanjana or when Aaditya is attacking the spirit looking for its reflection in a mirror. You won’t quite be impressed with the horror elements.
But the 3-D effect is visible throughout the movie which has brought depth to the otherwise so-so presentation of Raaz 3. It seems director Vikram Bhatt has this time paid all his attention to 3-D effects only! The background score is aptly designed and suit the horror genre. Even the songs are okay.
Basu steals the show of the movie with her versatile performance. The part of a confident star who is in control and at the same time a very weak person has been well-portrayed by her. Hashmi acts well and he has not missed to prove himself once again as Bollywood’s very own ‘Serial Kisser’. Gupta needs to improve her acting and dancing skills as well if she wants to climb the ladder of success in Bollywood, like the way she has been portrayed in the movie. Sadly, Choudhary as the evil spirit won’t frighten you.

MUMBAI: After being part of sequels like “Raaz”, “Jannat” and “Murder”, actor Emraan Hashmi seems to have had enough of it and says he will be doing no more of it in the near future.
“I don’t think I will be doing a sequel for a while after this. But these films have been successful from the beginning of my career, and nowadays a fashion of sequels is on, so we thought that it’s great that we should take hit films ahead and make them into a series,” he said in a group interaction.
“Raaz” franchise started in 2002 and its second instalment came in 2009 and it was titled “Raaz – The Mystery Continues”.
Produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, “Raaz 3″ revolves around the downfall in an actress’s life and how she turns to black magic. It has been directed by Vikram Bhatt and also stars Bipasha Basu and Esha Gupta.
What makes Emraan is the commercial appreciation that his films get.
“I am happy and I hope that it stays that way. I always wanted to become a popular actor from the beginning of my career. I always wanted that my films have some sort of commercial aspect and draw mass audience,” he said.
After being part of films like “Shanghai”, the actor is on a lookout for something new.
“The character should be good and different and something which I have not played before. I also see the commercial viability of the film and how different it is… what kind of change it brings,” he added.
Bollywood movie Ek Tha Tiger (ETT) starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the leads, has done wonderful collection in the second weekend too and once again topped the Indian Box Office chart. The Kabir Khan directed film was expected to cross Rs 200 crore mark in the domestic business centres in 16 days, but it has failed to surpass this mark.

Ek Tha Tiger opened to an overwhelming response at the collection centres across the country. The romantic action flick had set a new record at the desi Box Office by collecting Rs 154.21 crores nett in the nine day extended first week. Its business dropped by 80% in the second weekend when compared to its first weekend collection. It added Rs 21.74 crores nett to its 12 day total earning Rs 174.95 crore nett.
The collection of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer movie further witnessed fall from Rs 9 crore to Rs 2.92 crore on the second Monday. Its business continued to drop on the following days in the second week. Ek Tha Tiger added Rs 10.10 crore on weekdays to its 16 day total Rs 185.05 crore nett. The breakup of its weekdays collection is Rs 2.92 cr on Mon, Rs 2.60 cr on Tue, Rs 2.39 cr on Wed and Rs 2.19 cr on Thur.
However, Ek Tha Tiger has to collect Rs 15 crore nett to surpass Rs 200 crore mark at the domestic Box Office. But the movie has to face tough competition from Akshay Kumar's Joker, which is releasing in theatres today. It may not be able to cross this mark in the third weekend. It should be seen whether it would achieve these required figures at the collection centres. Stay locked to this space to read its latest collection reports.

Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Joker has had a very bad opening at the Indian as well as International Box Office. The fantasy adventure film, which was expected to break the record of Akki's previous movie Rowdy Rathore, has a shocking figure at the collection centres across the country on the first day of its release.

Joker had a grand release on August 31 with its theatre count crossing 2,200 in India. The movie was expected to start with a bang at the collection centres. But it shockingly opened to a very low response. It registered 20% to 25% occupancy at the single screens across the country in the morning and matinee shows on the first day.
The Shirish Kunder directed movie also had worst beginning at the multiplexes, where it had occupancy ranging between 15% and 20% in the morning and matinee shows on the first day. Reports suggest in many multiplexes, a few shows were cancelled after Joker failed to draw the crowds.
Joker has collected approximately Rs 5 crores at the domestic Box Office on its first day. It is the worst collection that Akshay's films ever had. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Joker Friday numbers are poor in India and international markets. Amongst @akshaykumar's lowest openers."
However, Joker, which has been produced by Akshay Kumar, Shirish Kunder and Farah Khan, has been made with a whopping budget of Rs 50 crore. But its dismal opening has disappointed the makers. If it has to recover its production cost, the movie has to show a big jump in its business on Saturday and Sunday. Stay locked to this space to read its collection reports.
