Kathmandu,
Sept 09 - Nepali Congress General Secretary Krishna Sitaula has
stressed on the need to hold parliamentary election within April to end
the current political deadlock.
He said parliamentary election was important to revive the Constituent Assembly given that the parties forge consensus on the remaining disputed issues of constitution drafting.
Talking to reporters in Birgunj on Saturday, Sitaula ruled out the possibility of CA election on November.
Saying that the NC-led national government was favorable to promulgate the new constitution and hold CA election, Sitaula claimed that NC can announce its candidate for the post of prime minister if the parties forge consensus.
