KATHMANDU: An awareness rally was organised on the occasion of the International Literacy Day and National Education Day on Friday. The rally taken out from Mangal Bazaar converged into a corner meet at Patandhoka after passing through Lagankhel, Jawalakhel and Pulchowk. A total of 64 schools of Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts participated in the rally that had Educational Resource Development Centre and Room to Read as organisers. Students and parents, among others, took part in the rally carried placards and banners reading slogans on educational awareness.

KATHMANDU: The Mero FM Foundation branch of the Federation of Nepali Journalists has provided Rs 5,555 to ‘Save Ramesh Chalise Campaign’ through ttreasurer of the FNJ, Sheetal Saha. The amount was collected from staff of the FM station. The FNJ central committee has been running the campaign to save the life of Chalise, a journalist suffering from kidney failure.
